This position will require 2 days per week in our London,ON office subject to change with future business needs.
The Business Data Analyst is a part of the Data Services Team which transforms data from vetted sources into valuable information our customers trust. This involves complex research and analysis, strategic thinking, and strong problem solving skills as well as the ability to work cross-functionally across multiple departments and as part of a team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Do complex research and analysis to support business initiatives, projects, and products
- Identify and implement ways to improve data quality and data integrity
- Derive, document, and communicate analytical business requirements
- Demonstrate your areas of expertise by identifying data norms and anomalies.
- Find and communicate data narratives that provide meaningful insight to the business.
- Work with internal stakeholders to extract maximum value from data.
What we’re looking for:
- A minimum of 3+ years of direct experience performing data analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience in R, SQL, and advanced Excel skills required.
- Strong R studio skills, knowledge of Tableau, and/or knowledge of PowerBI a significant plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, emphasizing clear requirements and analytical results.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and support skills; you’re a critical and strategic thinker.
- An appetite for continuous learning, confidence to challenge the status quo, and a technical aptitude to work with analytics and data.
- Experience in effectively communicating analysis and insight to all levels of the organization.
- Sense of ownership to independently manage time and efficiently address workload.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Prior knowledge of passenger vehicle trims, options, and standard equipment a plus.
