Job description

(***Will consider candidates who are not licensed but have a positive personality, reliable in nature, and a drive to grow within the industry. Minimum 3yrs experience***)

The Licensed Automotive Technician must have a comprehensive understanding of automotive engines and systems. Their primary duties and responsibilities include:

• Performing routine automotive maintenance tasks, which include courtesy inspections, oil change, tire rotation, battery installations, headlight and taillight installations, transmission work/exchanges, air conditioner recharges, and alignments
• Conducting diagnostic procedures to identify the cause of automotive issues and make effective and accurate recommendations
• Conducting necessary repairs and testing vehicles before handing them back to customers
• Inspecting vehicles to ensure they meet provincial requirements for safety and emissions
• Maintaining knowledge of current industry best practices
• Maintaining paperwork and customer records
• Ensuring equipment longevity
• Maintaining a clean and safe workplace
• Clean drivers abstract
• Must have own tools
• Positive attitude & willingness to learn

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $24.00-$40.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime

Experience:

• automotive technician: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Drivers License (required)
• Journeyman (preferred)
