Automotive Technician

MegMar / Tirecraft (Fort St John, BC) – We are currently seeking Journeyman Automotive Technician to join our team. The successful applicant must be focused, driven and able to work in a team environment or independently. Be self-motivated and have a genuine desire to get the job done in a professional, safe/efficient, and accurate manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Recommend repairs as required, warranty repairs as per specifications

· Complete repairs as per estimates in a timely fashion

· Road test vehicles after repairs are completed to ensure repairs are done properly

· Maintain high quality of workmanship, maintain tools, equipment, and shop, and diagnose problems using proper procedures

· Must be able to perform diagnosis of customers vehicle concerns

· Repairs to all areas of vehicles including engine, transmission, drive train, suspension and steering components, interior electronics, interior trim as well as exterior trim

· Must be able to compile a detailed list of repairs and service that the vehicle would or may require

· Assist service advisor and communicating with customers

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must be an Interprovincial Red Seal or have a Journeyman Automotive Technician ticket

· Diesel engines experience an asset

· May accept 3rd or 4th year apprentices depending on experience

· Valid drivers license

· Efficient problem-solving skills

· Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

· Would have to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time

We have rotational shifts available. For the right candidate we would offer relocation allowance, fly in fly out and accommodations could be provided.

* Wage is depending on experience $40-$47/per hour
