Here at Good 2 Go Tirecraft, we’re expanding rapidly and we’re looking to hire an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. This role is best suited for an experienced automotive mechanic who has experience working on cars and light trucks, to ensure a seamless transition with our team. You will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and efficiently repairing customer vehicles while also assuring quality work and great customer experience.

While there are numerous roles an automotive technician must fulfill, here at Good 2 Go we promote the individual to use their past experiences to properly assess the situations at hand. Some of the duties of the automotive technician include, but are not limited to;

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on customer’s vehicles.
  • Identify problems with vehicles using diagnostic equipment.
  • Explain automotive repairs and issues and provide great customer service.
  • Plan repair procedures using charts manuals and experience.
  • Perform engine and full drive train diagnosis and repair.
  • Perform electrical diagnosis and repair.
  • Test the functionality of parts and systems.
  • Perform basic auto care and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotation.
  • Experience with heavy equipment and as a diesel mechanic, diesel engine knowledge. While not an asset, the team member must be willing to do on the job learning and training.
  • Repair and replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors and other parts.
  • Perform routine maintenance and general mechanic work on vehicles.
  • Prepared to get additional certification as needed.
  • Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
  • Help keep the repair shop clean and organized.
  • Maintain a professional and approachable appearance

Although the job description of a mechanic at Good 2 Go is comprehensive, there are certain requirements that a new team member should already have;

  • Automotive and engine repair experience and automotive mechanic training required.
  • Hold a valid, Canadian driver’s license.
  • Graduated from an associate degree program in mechanical maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Must be able to recognize the importance of quality customer service.
  • Perform routine maintenance and other tasks under pressure, and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lift objects that weigh upwards of 50 lbs.
  • Experience as a lube technician, or prepared to do on the job training.
  • Understand automotive air-conditioning systems.
  • Ability to use diagnostic equipment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

Salary: $17.00-$40.00 per hour
