Job Title: Associate Producer, CTV Montreal, Bell Media

Job Status: Regular-Ful time

Salary: Collective Agreement Unifor 614M, Grade 12

Work Conditions: 40 hours per week (including evenings and weekends). Overtime as required

Responsibilities:

  • Propose stories

  • Research, write and edit content for broadcast and digital platforms

  • Write comprehensive editorial background briefs

  • Conduct interviews

  • May be required to line up news programs

  • May be required to perform on-air or go into the field

  • Adhere to editorial guidelines and policies on accuracy and ethics

  • Other duties as assigned

Critical Qualifications

  • Story generating experience

  • Proven writing skills

  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain creativity in a high pressure, deadline oriented environment

  • Sound editorial judgement

  • Excellent knowledge of local news and current affairs

  • Team player, strong communication skills; highly organized and self-motivated

  • Show Producing (lineup) experience would be an asset

  • BA in Journalism or equivalent, minimum 5 years working in a major market newsroom

  • Bilingualism is required (English and French): Interactions with English speaking customers or people outside of Quebec
