ICOS currently serves the Tidewater region providing Mental Health Skill-Building (MHSB), Intensive In-Home (IIH) and Crisis Stabilization services for individuals with mental health diagnoses. As we expand to provide addiction treatment services, we are looking for Licensed Mental Health Professionals (including Supervisees or Residents) or CSACs for the Addictions Intensive Outpatient Program in the Norfolk, VA location. It is required that this position be filled with a staff who has experience providing addiction treatment services.
Preferred: Fully licensed (LPC, LCSW) or a supervisee/resident pursuing a licensure as an LPC or LCSW with CSAC. An unlicensed individual with a CSAC will also be considered for this position.
Required Activities:
· Provide clinical oversight for program operations in an ASAM 2.1 Intensive Outpatient Program
· Complete intake assessments for clients participating in outpatient addiction treatment services according to the ASAM Criteria (licensed staff only)
· Complete Individual Service Plans, Quarterly Reports, Service Authorization Requests, Progress Notes and other case documentation
· Plan and provide Intensive Outpatient Services as defined in the DMAS ARTS Manual for a minimum of 9 hours/week per client
· Make appropriate referrals to wraparound supports and higher and lower levels of care according to the ASAM Criteria
· Maintain community contacts with providers for referral during admission, to include mental health and medical providers for care coordination
· Provide individual, group and family therapy to program clients (licensed staff only)
· Supervise support staff in the Intensive Outpatient Program
· Perform drug screenings routinely to ensure client adherence to program rules
· Coordinate with senior management on program goals and implementation
· Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements of the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) and the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS)
· Attend and assist in the planning of staff meetings and trainings
