THE ROLE
Under the supervision of the Manager, Community Recreation, the Aerobic Instructor plans, organizes and delivers aerobic classes. He/she prepares class schedules, design programs and assist with advertising and public relations.
Fitness, sports, recreation and health promotion programs are delivered by PSP on Bases, Wings and Units across Canada and in deployed operations. PSP delivers evidence-based programs, which contribute to the health and well-being of the military community and operational effectiveness of the CAF.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
High school diploma AND some years of experience conducting aerobic classes
AND
Aerobics Instructors Certification
Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications
Experience
In planning, organizing, and delivering aerobic classes
In monitoring and controlling large groups of participants
In ensuring safety protocols and procedures
In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail and Internet browsing
Competencies, Skills and Abilities
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
English Essential, Bilingual an asset
