Instructor Therapist (Ajax / Whitby)
Nexus Therapy is looking for skilled Instructor Therapists to provide ABA/IBI services to children in the home setting. Candidates are responsible for implementing treatment plans for preschool and school age children, and adolescents (ages 0-18) under BCBA supervision. Positions available in Ajax / Whitby and surrounding areas are in-home
- Starting rate: $30.00 per hr for direct therapy time
- Day time sessions are a minimum of 3 hrs from 9-12 or 1-4 pm
- After school visits are a minumum of 2 hrs from 4:30-6:30 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the ABA / IBI program related to the needs and goals of the client under BCBA supervision
- Support client goals through implementing strategies and monitoring progress.
- Data Collection and communication with BCBA.
- Maintain a good rapport with the interdisciplinary team, including the family.
- Create and maintain a healthy and positive environment for the client to promote progress.
- Provide consultation and education to the family regarding the client’s needs and goals.
- Create optimal opportunities for learning by including the family into the therapy sessions.
- Candidates must adhere to the policies and procedures of the company.
Qualifications:
- Educational and or Clinical background in applied behavioural analysis
- Experience implementing ABA teaching strategies with children ASD and learning disabilities.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills along with strong organizational abilities.
- Enthusiastic with the ability to connect with children and work successfully within the team.
- Independent, self motivated, yet willing to accept guidance and feedback from Supervisors.
- Valid Drivers License and access to vehicle during working hours.
- Available to work during the day, evenings, and optional weekends.
