JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled and reliable AZ Shunt Truck Driver / Yard Jockey in theMISSISSAUGA, ONTARIOarea to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for exercising safe and efficient practices when operating equipment adhering to all driving regulations. 6 months of shunting experience and 1 year of AZ driving experience required. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely moves and service to our customers and team. At Lazer we are driven to achieve!

• $23-$24 per Hour
• Potential Shift Differentials
• Overtime after 44 Hours
• Weekly Pay (Payroll Only)

Responsibilities and Requirements:

• Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks and trailers, in compliance with all AZ regulations and Lazer’s guidelines
• Transport trailers to and from designated locations in a timely and safe manner.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures as well as federal, state and industry regulations
• Ensure proper handling of equipment and products for our customers in accordance with agreed services
• Communicate and work effectively with dispatchers, customers, team members and/or third-party vendors working in the designated work location. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and any incidents.

Qualifications

• Valid AZ Drivers License
• Minimum 1 year AZ experience required
• Previous shunting experience preferred
• Must have a current and clean driving abstract
• Ability to handle long hours and adapt to various weather conditions.
• Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as getting in and out of the truck multiple times throughout your shift.
