This 3-month internship requiring an on-site commitment of one day (8 hours) per week at the gallery.The role of the intern is to assist with day- to-day in the gallery, learn about art sales, aid in projects and installations, as well as help with social media and newsletters. Specifically, will help with ensuring that the gallery is tidy and presentable to the public. They will help with organizing our back-storage rooms, and organize our 200 plus inventory of artwork (which is in multiple locations). The Intern will learn about ArtSystems, an online art-database and will work with Mailchimp, our preferred newsletter tool. They will help with writing on artists, creating in depth but easy to understand blurbs for clients. They will help with preparation of any projects or fairs that the gallery will be having and attending, and will be present for opening nights of shows and learning about what goes into putting together an exhibit.
