The 11th edition will take place October 16-25, 2025. Our mission is to elevate the popularity of dance by presenting a diverse, world-class dance festival of established and emerging talent from Toronto, Canada and around the globe through accessible ticket prices. FFDN aims to support Canada’s professional dance community, create an inclusive atmosphere and inspire and educate new audiences and seasoned dance patrons.About the RoleThe Community Arts Coordinator will be an integral part of the FFDN team where they will have the opportunity to develop and refine a number of skills pertaining to community and small business engagement. They will be responsible for initiating and facilitating new small business partnerships as well as expanding our audiences by reaching new demographics in fresh and innovative ways as we plan for our 11th annual festival. This role will aid in expanding our reach to student and youth groups, seniors, newcomers and community groups while continuing to foster our existing stakeholder relationships. It will also help form new relationships with nearby businesses as we offer discounts and other benefits to our festival patrons.Tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • Liaise with existing business partnerships in order to coordinate partnership exchanges for the 2025 festival; as well as research and pursue new small business partnership opportunities;
  • Support artist packages with festival offerings;
  • Coordinate any updated content or communications for online circulation related to small business partnerships;
  • Work with General Manager and Festival/Volunteer Coordinator to secure discounts for volunteer hospitality;
  • Provide community engagement for potential group sales, in Toronto and the surrounding area in alignment with 2025 programming;
  • Find opportunities for engagement, connection or cross promotion in coordination with FFDN’s marketing team;
  • Support the circulation of FFDN festival materials (posters, flyers etc.);
  • Support the overall festival/marketing efforts in reaching new audience groups;
  • Respond to group sales requests, working closely with Box Office Manager to fulfill requests;
  • Support Education & Outreach Coordinator with educational programming initiatives as needed

Additional informationFFDN’s offices are located at 20 Dundas St. West, 9th floor. Staff continue to work in a hybrid model with some in person meetings and gatherings.
