Our team is now expanding our staffing services to provide contracts to Registered Practical Nurses across Canada!QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY:1 YEARS MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREDLicensed Practical Nursing License in good standing with the Provincial College of NursesCurrent BCLSSKILLS & ABILITY:Patient careHead to toe assessmentCardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)Patient/family education and instructionBASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:Plans and manages patient care according to each patient’s needs.Interviews patients and records their medical history and physical condition.Obtains patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.Provides routine care for patients.Observes patients’ health.Reviews medical charts.Accompanies patients to their rooms.Assists physicians and registered nurses.Communicates with patients and their families.Performs standard diagnostic procedures including EKG, phlebotomy, venipuncture, PFT, and Doppler.Prepares specimens for lab courier.Administers medications.Provides wound care.Prepares and administers injections and/or enemas.Assists with patient comfort.Monitor catheters.SPECIFIC DUTIES:Responsible for maintaining care standardsPerform diagnostic testsCommunicate with doctors and residents to keep everyone updated on test results and treatment recommendationsMonitoring resident careCONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTMust comply with:Human Resource, Corporation, and Department PoliciesMust provide satisfactory vulnerable sector checkMust maintain Registered Practical Nurse class license with the Provincial College of NursesThank you for your interest in joining our team.
