Look no further, as this temporary full-time opportunity may be the role for you. Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources you will be working with a dynamic team of individuals on a variety of HR tasks.Qualifications
- Provides front line HR support for general walk in, telephone and email enquiries.
- Completes new hire entry into Dayforce HRIS and assists with pension and benefit administration of new hire information into Desjardins and HOOOP
- Participates in recruitment activities, including editing job postings, conducting telephone screens, scheduling interviews, and completing reference checks
- Screens external applications
- Prepares offer and transfer letters, and facilitates the collection of new employee documentation
- Assists with new hire orientation, Take our Kids to work day and Long Service Awards
- Assists with the Summer Student Research Program and Clinical Extern program
- Collects and distributes HR mail and handles filing tasks
- Prepares Employment Letters
- Performs administrative tasks including payment processing and coordination of HR programs and services (e.g., booking meeting rooms, handling catering requests, ordering office supplies, accounts payable, etc.)
- Assists with special projects as assigned

- Currently enrolled in a Degree, Diploma or Post Graduate Certificate program in Human Resources from a recognized educational institution.
- Minimum 2-3 years of front-line customer service experience, preferred
- Knowledge of payroll concepts and processes preferred
- Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external customers and deal with constant interruptions.
- An understanding of collective agreements and relevant legislation (ESA, Human Rights Code, Ontario Labour Relations Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, etc.) preferred.
- Knowledge of recruitment practices preferred
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive and collaborative working relationships and be an effective team player.
- Proven ability to prioritize duties/projects, multi-task, and work independently in a fast paced environment with constant demands.
- Knowledge and Experience in HRIS and other related computer systems preferred
- Demonstrated record of good performance and acceptable attendance will be considered as part of the selection criteria.
- Professional behaviour and communication that meets the standards of the professional regulatory college or association, as applicable, and the standards of Women’s College Hospital.
- This position plays a critical role in acting as an advocate for safety and will demonstrate principles, practices and processes that will optimize a safe environment for all.
