POSITION:                Digital Media Summer Student

REPORTS TO:          Marketing Specialist

DEPARTMENT:         Marketing and Communications

REFERENCE:            800-06-26

RATE OF PAY:           $17.75 per hour

MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Planning, scheduling and posting content across social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube)

  • Develop creative content, including short videos, and captions that align with Ontario Northland’s brand voice

  • Participation in Promotions and ONTC events

  • Work within the Marketing Department on various projects

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Preference given to students enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program or entering full-time post-secondary studies in September 2025

  • Must be able to work full-time hours (40 hours per week)

  • Preference will be given to students enrolled in the following programs, Marketing/Communications, Hospitality and Tourism, Journalism or Public Relations program

  • Retail or Customer Service experience

  • Experience with Content Creation (YouTube, TikTok, Blogging, Photography, or Design)

  • Hands-on experience in creating engaging digital content

  • Must be committed to Health and Safety
