Hybrid, Toronto-basedThe Responsible Gambling Council (RGC) is a leading international authority on responsible gambling—providing insights to industry stakeholders through its research and problem gambling prevention programs, as well as accrediting responsible gambling initiatives offered by gaming companies operating within regulated markets across the globe. RGC operates independently from the gaming industry, allowing it to offer unbiased insights and services related to responsible gambling.The Accounting Coordinator will act as support to the Controller as well as accounts payable and accounts receivable for all business units. This role is part-time, from Monday-Thursday (28 hours).KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with team members to compile, analyze and report financial data
  • Prepare and post month end journal entries in Sage Intacct.
  • Prepare and post the reallocation journal entries for proper GL expense accounts
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations for multiple banks
  • Process Accounts Receivables invoices, make bank deposits and post customer payments in general ledger.
  • Maintains Client contracts and ensure their billings are in-line with the milestone completed as per the contract.
  • Process Accounts Payable invoices, and create vendor payments via EFT, Cheques, and Bill payments.
  • Maintains Kilometer Tracking Sheet for staff travel claims and ensures the correct mileage rate is used
  • Assist with year-end audit schedule and audit requests
  • Using Sage Intacct to enter information, ensuring financial records are complete and accurate
  • Responding to internal and external inquiries from stakeholders
  • Work with HR and prepare EHT Annual Return
  • Ad-hoc reporting

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary Degree/Diploma in accounting, business, finance
  • 3-5 years’ full cycle accounting experience with small/medium sized business
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and legislation
  • Working knowledge of Sage Intacct software
  • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management software (Sage CRM preferred)
  • Customer service focus
  • Ability to work with tact, discretion and understand the importance of confidentiality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task
  • High level of accountability, accuracy and efficiency
  • Ability to work independently
