Location: This role is based in our Mississauga office in Canada, with a hybrid work schedule.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related field, with 6+ years of indicative experience in developing product-level ML algorithms (4+ with a Masters)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of business analytics methods (e.g., regression analysis, forecasting, AB testing, customer segmentation, …).
- Ability to translate analysis and modeling into insightful narratives is key
- Experience in managing stakeholders and offshore teams, strong execution ability to run and manage end-to-end analytical projects and deliver meaningful insights and actionable recommendations
- Understanding and implementing ethical AI practices
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent problem solving and data analysis skills, with expertise in developing or applying predictive analytics, statistical modeling, data and text mining, NLP, machine learning algorithms on structured and unstructured data, at scale
- Applied research experience in machine learning techniques: supervised/unsupervised, deep learning, classification, clustering, and time-series forecasting to forecast sales, customer behavior, and market trends
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, Databricks (Genie, Lakehouse IQ, Unity Catalogue). Specifically in deploying machine learning models and managing data pipelines
- Hands on experience using Apache Spark, Python, R, SQL (Databases & language) and Data Visualization tools (PowerBI)
- Demonstrated experience with GPT-4, image and text generation models, and OpenAI
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in computer science or a related field (see the fields listed above), with 4+ years of indicative experience in developing product-level ML algorithms
- Substantial knowledge in statistics and probabilities is required
- Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
- Extensive Python coding experience exceeding 4,000 hours is preferred. Interviews will test knowledge of Python
- Expertise in all regression modeling techniques (multi-variate and logistical)
- Ability to stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and data science, and the ability to quickly adapt to new tools and technologies
- Experience in applying AI to real-world problems, such as improving field-force effectiveness
- Experience working with commercial datasets like sales reports, CRM data, customer feedback, market analysis data, or digital marketing metrics (e.g., Google Ads, social media).
- Familiarity with key market research reports from sources like IQVIA, and Gartner plus have awareness on emerging trends like digital health, telemedicine, personalized medicine, and AI in healthcare.
Responsibilities:
- Peruse GSK’s dataframes and use the insights attained to develop actionable initiatives that have a high likelihood of increasing ROAS, ROI, market share or cash flow.
- Collaborate and partner effectively with various stakeholders across the enterprise, including Marketing, Commercial Insight, Marketing, Medical, Regulatory, Salesi, Finance and Managed Market teams across Canada and Global teams to formulate analysis plans.
- Conduct cross portfolio ad-hoc analyses (e.g. marketing mix, test/control, subnational trend assessment) according to US Pharma’s business needs, and in support of US enterprise workstreams.
- Create presentations and communicate results/findings to internal stakeholders
