I am seeking a reliable, friendly, and punctual person who can help to get my uncle to and from appointments. He lives alone in an apartment in the heart of Toronto, located near a subway station for easy access. He has Parkinson’s, and has an ongoing problem with his feet that make him unsteady, and has some difficulty walking. He uses a cane, but he can not leave his apartment without assistance. He needs someone who can take him to appointments multiple times a week, and get him back to his apartment safely. This can be done via Uber or Taxi (family will pay for this). He typically sets up his own appointments and manages his own calendar. These appointments are all in Toronto – some are less than 10 minutes away from his apartment, while others are about 25 mins away by car. He is a native English speaker, has no cognitive impairments, and is friendly to everyone. His family and friends check in on him frequently, but it is difficult for us to be available for all of his appointments. He would benefit from having a regular presence who can get him to his appointments and back. Some minor housework, such as doing a quick sweep of his small apartment, or washing a couple dishes would help him immensely.
