PURPOSE
This position promotes NNCI products and develops strategic business relationships with Endocrinologists, Primary care physicians and other targeted specialists such as Diabetes Nurse Educators, Nurse Practitioners, and Pharmacists as well as to other relevant Health Care Professionals.
Diabetes Educators and Pharmacists in both community and hospital settings. Represents Novo Nordisk to selected key diabetes/academic centers, and large community/teaching hospitals as a leader in the diabetes care market, within an assigned territory and surrounding territories.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Key Areas of Responsibility
- Develops, implements and updates territory business plan in order to drive sales results with target audiences; regularly informs District Business Manager regarding activities, market trends and territory issues
- Analyzes sales data to determine progress and identify areas of opportunity; incorporates into territory plan
- Customizes sales calls addressing opportunities with, and needs of, targeted healthcare providers
- Organizes and conducts product education sessions within budgetary guidelines
- Liaises with Pharmacists and community hospitals to ensure proper and optimal product usage
- Attends conferences, symposiums and seminars in order to promote company products and provide current information to customers, as well as to obtain and share market information when appropriate
- Demonstrates leadership at National Sales meetings, District meetings and training programs
- Manages territory CHE and sample budgets
- Provides leadership by addressing district and corporate objectives (sharing best business practices, presenting at regional meetings, temporarily covering vacant territories or district, etc.)
- May be called upon by district and head office to implement or lead regional initiatives
- May participate in cross-functional teams as requested
- Takes on a mentorship role for new hires or other colleagues requiring assistance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Regular office space is home based. Requires significant local travel and may require occasional overnight travel.

- University degree or business qualifications
- EXPERIENCE (Minimum Requirements)
- Minimum 5 years pharmaceutical experience years
- Previous territory knowledge is an asset

The base compensation range for this position is $79,280 to $140,250. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications and internal equity.
