The CRC conducts original research in teaching and learning, well-being and international mindedness. The Centre shares information and knowledge widely through conferences, partnerships and publications, and contributes to the fields of education and educational psychology.Reporting to the Director, the Research Officer will participate in the design, execution and reporting of various Chandaria Research Centre projects related to teaching and learning, student and employee well-being, international mindedness and leadership, as well as equity and inclusion. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of diverse quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, strong research coordination and administrative skills, and excellent communication skills with a passion for writing.This is a part-time position, 3 days per week (21 hours) on a one year contract.Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Conducting literature reviews, writing annotated bibliographies, project proposals, grant applications, and other research documents as needed or requestedImplementing and executing the full research cycle using qualitative and/or quantitative research methodsContributing to developing research questions, creating research instruments and protocols, participant recruitment, data collection, analysis, and reporting as requiredMaintaining accurate study records and ensure adherence to research protocols and ethical guidelinesPreparing progress reports and summarize insights for stakeholdersCreating and editing research-based content, including articles, reports, presentations, infographics, and videos, regarding the Chandaria Research Centre’s workDrafting research communications for newsletters, the CRC website, and research-based information guidesQualifications and Experience:A Doctorate degree is required, with experience in research with children and youth, in the areas of well-being and mental health, teaching and learning, or international mindednessWork experience as a Research Assistant or Research Officer in a university or non-profit setting is requiredQuantitative and qualitative research skills and statistical analysis skillsExperience with SPSS or R, NVivo or MAXQDA, survey software (Survey Monkey, Qualtrics), and Google suite; design software (Canva, Adobe, Tableau) considered an assetExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenAble to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to work accurately and problem solve technical and methodological issues that arise during the course of researchKeen attention to detailTarget Hiring Range: $61,984 – $77,480 (salary will be prorated based on 21 hours/week)How to Apply:Bring your vision, passion and creativity to Branksome Hall.
